In partnership with Eastern Maine Medical Center's Sleep Center of Maine, SVH offers the residents of Sebasticook Valley a comfortable, convenient and fully equipped sleep center in Pittsfield where sleep disorders are identified and diagnosed by certified medical professionals trained in the field of sleep disorders.
At the SVH Sleep Center, patients can come for sleep analysis during evening hours. Our trained staff will assist you in preparing for the study and, while you are sleeping, will monitor your breathing and heart rate to ensure your safety. During your sleep study, your sleep will be monitored closely through connectors placed on your head and body. With the information gathered during your sleep study and the questionnaire we require you to complete before the test, a board-certified pulmonologist (a physician specializing in breathing disorders) will review your information and prepare a complete report that includes suggested treatment and therapy that will be given to your healthcare provider.
