About the SVH Orthopedic Team:

• Joseph Caldwell, MD, FAAOS - Orthopedic Surgeon. Studied at Hahnemann University School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA, and completed a five-year Orthopedic Surgery and Rehabilitation Residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, FL; specializes in surgical treatment for diseases, disorders, and injuries involving bones, joints, and tendons for patients in central Maine. Dr. Caldwell is fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons as well as a board certified Orthopaedic Surgeon of the American Board of Orthopaedic surgery. He serves as an active member of the New England Orthopaedic Society.

• James Fullwood, Jr., DPM, AACFAS - Podiatrist. Studied at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois and completed a three year foot and ankle surgical residency with a major focus in foot and ankle reconstruction, diabetic limb salvage and wound care at Mercy Hospital (Allina Health Systems) in Minneapolis Minnesota. Dr. Fullwood is an associate member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, the American Podiatric Medical Association, and serves as the SVH Vice Chief of Staff. Dr. Fullwood staffs the SVH Foot and Ankle Center, Wound Center and an outreach clinic in Dexter, Maine through an SVH collaboration with Sebasticook Family Doctors.
Located at Sebasticook Valley Hospital, which offers quick access to onsite state-of-the-art digital imaging and physical/occupational rehabilitation (including aquatic therapy), the SVH Orthopedic Service collaborates with patients and their primary care providers to achieve care goals efficiently and effectively.
