Sebasticook Valley Health (SVH) comprises a progressive 25-bed, Joint Commission accredited critical access hospital in Pittsfield, Maine, and a wide range of outpatient services throughout the region. The hospital was established in 1963 by a group of community leaders, and serves an area encompassing a population of approximately 40,000 people in central Maine.
SVH offers a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient services, including a Surgical Unit, Medical-Surgical and Special Care Unit, Swing Bed Unit, Women’s Health Center, Rehabilitation centers in Newport and Pittsfield, primary care medical offices in Clinton, Newport and Pittsfield, SVH Specialty Physicians (in Detroit), a Diabetes and Nutrition Clinic, the SVH Courtesy Van, Community Health, and more than twenty specialty services.
