Course Description: This one-day program is designed for Administrative Professionals, Secretaries, Unit Secretaries, Certified Nurses Aids and Support Staff who work in healthcare. "Professional Growth and Development" as well as "Hot Topics" surrounding Healthcare Office Professionals are considered in developing programs for this offering. The "Admission Pass" is to be completed prior to the program and is to be presented at the door in order to obtain admission. The program is designed to: hardwire, continue training, and give tools to employees celebrating the completion of their first 90 days of employment with EMMC. Objectives and content include: EMMC's journey to Excellence, Standards of Caring Behaviors, Customer Service, Key Words at Key Times, AIDET, Service Teams, Measuring Satisfaction, How EMMC Rewards and Recognizes Employees, Service Recovery, Tool Kits, White Boards, Employee Wellness and Employee Benefits. Lunch is provided for participants of this program. An interactive Administrative Roundtable session takes place directly after lunch. Each participant is asked to do a brief introduction or themselves to include: name, previous employer and why they came to EMMC. The group is then asked the following questions: 1) "What are we doing well at EMMC?" 2) "Have you seen anything that is causing you to be concerned about patient or employee safety?" 3) "Based on your previous experience or observations from the first 90 days on the job, is there anything we could be doing better at EMMC?" 4) Who are "EMMC's Shining Stars" is there anyone who has been very helpful during your first 90 days of employment?" 5) "Is there anything at EMMC that you are uncomfortable with or would cause you to leave?" Participants are asked to complete and turn in two evaluations at the end of the day. One evaluation covers the "New Employee 90 Day Reunion" program itself while the second evaluation covers their experience in the hiring process as well as their departmental orientation. Please contact Denise Sullivan, EMMC Instructor x7312 if you have any questions or would like additional information on this program.
