NEW EMPLOYEE 90 DAY REUNION
  NNETS:

Tuition: $ 0.00
CNE: 0.00
CME: 0.00
Course Description: The "New Employee 90 Day Reunion" program is mandatory for all employees who have completed their first 90 days of employment at Eastern Maine Medical Center. Employees are scheduled for this program by HR during the hiring process. It is held at the Cianchette Building in Brewer, in the Auditorium which is located in the basement/lower level. Employees are to dress according to IDD and to wear their EMMC ID Badges. Each participant receives a confirmation letter and admission pass approximately one month prior to their scheduled session. The "Admission Pass" is to be completed prior to the program and is to be presented at the door in order to attend. This program was designed to: hardwire, continue training & give tools to employees and celebrate the milestone of completing their first 90 days of employment with EMMC. Objectives and content include: EMMC's journey to Excellence, Standards of Caring Behaviors, Customer Service, Key Words at Key Times, AIDET, Service Teams, Measuring Satisfaction, How EMMC Rewards and Recognizes Employees, Service Recovery and Training to use "Tool Kits" which are located in patient care areas of the hospital. An interactive Administrative Roundtable session takes place during lunch which is provided. Each participant is asked to do a brief introduction to include their name, previous employer and why they came to EMMC. The group is then asked to give feedback on the following: 1) "What are we doing well at EMMC?" 2) "Have you seen anything that is causing you to be concerned about patient or employee safety?" 3) "Based on your previous experience or observations from the first 90 days on the job, is there anything we could be doing better at EMMC?" 4) "Is there anyone who has been very helpful during your first 90 days at EMMC?" 5) "Is there anything at EMMC that you are uncomfortable with or would cause you to leave?" At the end of the day a presentation is done on Employee Wellness and each employee is given a "Healthwise Handbook." Participants are asked to complete and turn in two evaluations at the end of the day. One is giving feedback on the "New Employee 90 Day Reunion" program and another giving feedback on their hiring process and departmental orientation. Please contact Denise Sullivan, EMMC Instructor x7312 if you have any questions or would like additional information on this program.
