At Sebasticook Valley Health’s Annual Employee Recognition Dinner held on May 3rd at the Millennium in Palmyra, President/CEO Victoria Alexander-Lane announced that Emily Cianchette, MSN, FNP-BC, won the highest honor in the organization, the Summit Award. Ms. Cianchette is a provider for SVH Family Care in Pittsfield. Emily was nominated for her strong commitment to collaboration, teamwork, quality, and the community. Her nomination referenced Emily’s enthusiastic participation with the service excellence team, medical staff participation, and her support of co-workers during times of change. In her announcement Victoria commented, “Emily speaks up and participates to improve the care of patients and is not afraid to pioneer new ideas.”
The event also honored employees with years of service milestones, and Director of Environmental and Nutritional Services, Robert Shorey, was recognized for 35 years of service. Bob joined SVH in 1977 and, during his career, has transitioned into management of various departments at the hospital. Two of his departments, Housekeeping and Nutritional Services, have been recognized nationally for excellence over the years. Employees with 5, 10, 15, and 20 years of service were also recognized.
Other employees who were honored were Brian Hill, Helen Hoover, Kellie Huard, Joan Leadbetter, Kelly Madigan-Graves, Dora Miles, Mike O’Connor, Lisa Petersen, and Bob Stackhouse, who were all honored for their exceptional work over the past year.
The Sebasticook Valley Health Summit Award recognizes one employee annually who has contributed to the organization’s strategic priorities and emulates the hospital values and competencies. This award is the highest level of achievement any employee can earn.
