72-hour Continuous Glucose Monitoring

Continuous glucose monitoring measures glucose levels in real-time throughout the day and night. To get started, you meet with a diabetes educator to be fitted with a device to track your glucose levels for a 72-hour period. This small device is able to record glucose levels every five minutes and is easily hidden under clothing.

After testing, you return the device to SVH and a diabetes educator downloads your results to a computer. With this information, we can finetune your medications, meals, and activity plans.
