Established in 1963 by a group of community leaders, Sebasticook Valley Health (SVH) comprises a progressive 25-bed, Joint Commission accredited critical access hospital in Pittsfield, Maine, a wide range of outpatient services and three primary care locations throughout central Maine.

SVH is a proud member of the Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems or EMHS, which ensures access to high quality care to Maine residents and visitors. Together, we're stronger.

SVH offers a wide range of both inpatient and outpatient services, including surgical services, a new inpatient wing with special care units and extended care "swing bed" program (for patients who need additional specialized care), a Women’s Health Center, rehabilitation centers in Newport and Pittsfield, primary care offices in Clinton, Newport and Pittsfield, access to specialists and surgeons at our Pittsfield and Detroit locations, a Diabetes and Nutrition Clinic, our Courtesy Van transportation service for outpatients, community health and education, and more.
