Men’s “Tune Up” on September 17th

Sebasticook Valley Health (SVH) is hosting a Men’s “Tune Up” on Thursday, September 17th from 5 to 7pm at SVH on Leighton Street in Pittsfield. The event is free and open to all.

Hosted by Howard Margolskee, MD, the event will feature current health information about staying active safely with EMMC Sports Medicine professional Stephen R. Thompson, MD; getting better sleep and sleep treatments with Frank Breznyak, NP, of the Sleep Center of Maine; current men’s health issues like stress and disease prevention; and an interactive Q&A forum with SVH men’s health specialists Krishna Bhatta, MD, and William Sturrock, MD. Informational displays and demonstrations will be available from Coveside Wheel & Ski, Hartley’s, Heart of Pittsfield, Huff’s Powersports, and JW Parks Golf Course. Seasonal flu shots will be available in collaboration with the Husson University School of Pharmacy, and the Pittsfield Police Department will be offering a drug take-back table for participants to safely dispose medications. Delicious bison chili courtesy of SVH Nutritional Services will be offered, and there will be chances to win prizes.
