At Sebasticook Valley Health, we recognize how challenging it can be for our patients to get to appointments safely and conveniently. This is why we offer a free transportation service to and from SVH, SVH Rehabilitation Services (at either our Pittsfield or Newport locations), SVH Specialty Physicians (formerly Somerset Surgical Associates and Eastern Maine Urology Services), and SVH Family Care for scheduled appointments.
Our Courtesy Van driver is trained in safe driving techniques in all kinds of Maine driving conditions and is CPR certified. He is required to call 9-1-1 if a patient is truly sick, is in extreme distress, or is having chest pains. This service is not intended to replace Ambulance Services.
As long as you live in the SVH service area or are traveling from a medical care provider located in our service area, SVH Transportation can bring you to SVH and give you a ride home between the hours of 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM.
