Sebasticook Valley Hospital (SVH) President/CEO John C. May recently announced that SVH has opened a second laboratory location in Newport for patients of any area healthcare provider needing labs tests drawn. The new Lab Drawing Service is located at Sebasticook Regional Family Care's Newport office on 8 Main Street (in Triangle Plaza).

The Lab Drawing Service is open during the mornings of Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, and appointments are not necessary. The Lab Drawing Service is open to patients of any healthcare provider in the area, and patients with standing lab orders are welcome to go the Newport location for their convenience.

According to Mr. May, "We are confident the Lab Drawing Service in Newport will be a convenient alternative for patients living outside Pittsfield who travel to SVH for lab tests. Our new location, which is staffed by SVH phlebotomists, is truly an easier way to quickly walk in for these procedures while not compromising the level of care that SVH patients expect."
