SVH Named 2007 Business of Year

SVH is Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce Business of Year
|

| Sebasticook Valley Hospital President and CEO John C. “Jack” May was notified by the Executive Director of the Sebasticook Valley Chamber of Commerce Jane Briggs that the hospital has been voted as this year’s Business of the Year. The award will be presented at the Chamber’s 2007 Annual Banquet and Awards event.
Award nominees for Business of the Year must be chamber members in good standing. In notifying SVH of the honor, Mrs. Briggs stated, “The award aims to highlight the many examples of commitment, impact on local issues or needs, leadership, innovation, and active citizenship. The award is intended to both recognize invaluable contributions, as well as inspire others to follow the award winner’s example.”
Stated Mr. May, “This is certainly a great honor to be recognized by the chamber and selected by a panel of community leaders for this award. Sebasticook Valley Hospital has served the people of this region’s healthcare needs since 1963. Over those years we have enjoyed the dedication and support of the communities we serve, a tremendous group of volunteers including our board of trustees, our medical staff and affiliated providers, and a dedicated group of employees. It is our privilege to answer the needs of each and every person for whom we provide care and to contribute to the economic health of our region. We appreciate the chamber’s recognition of SVH in this very special way.”
