| SVH Golf Tournament Grosses Nearly $54K for Charity |

| Sebasticook Valley Hospital (SVH) President and CEO John C. May has announced that the hospital grossed over $54,000 with its Sixth Annual Benefit Golf Tournament and Auction. Proceeds from the day-long charity event held at J.W. Parks Golf Course on July 29th will benefit the LifeFlight Foundation Capital Campaign, the SVH Capital Campaign to purchase a new ambulance, and the SVH Dental Services Program.
The LifeFlight Foundation of Maine will receive $18,000 of the proceeds to help raise the funds needed for their statewide $10 million capital campaign to pay for the costs of two new $4.25 million helicopters, improved navigational systems, and helipads. Nearly $7,000 was raised for the SVH Dental Health Program that serves both children and adults in the community and in the schools. The remaining proceeds will be used toward the purchase of a new ambulance at SVH.
Tournament winners included Low Gross with Julie Treadwell, Joanne Szadkowski, Mike Brown, and Dave Campbell, First Place Low Net with Paul Williams, Mike Schimpff, Gary Liimatainen, and Leslie Corrow, Second Place with Dana Costigan, Brian Hughes, Keith Koehler, and John Watson, and Third Place with Terri Vieira, Betty May, Susan DiBenedetto, and Rita Renaud. Closest to the pin winners included Jeannette Cote, Randy Ross, Julie Treadwell and Bill Reynolds. Longest drive went to Julie Treadwell and Randy Ross.
Lead sponsor for the event was Affiliated Health Systems with the following Corporate sponsors: Baker, Newman and Noyes, TD Banknorth, Cianbro, Lincoln Financial Group, Navix, NEHE-MRI, Northeast Imaging, and Skelton, Taintor and Abbott. Eagle sponsors included Eastern Maine Healthcare Systems, Lavallee/Brensinger Architects, Sebasticook Valley Elks Lodge #2713, Siemens, and Pro Mutual. Birdie sponsors included Cardinal Health, Dahl-Chase Pathology, Gilman Electrical Supply, HRH, Northeast Cardiology Associates, Sebasticook Family Doctors, and United States Surgical/Autosuture. Forty tee sponsors, 22 teams, auction donations and in-kind support also contributed to the fundraising event total.
