John C. May, President/CEO of Sebasticook Valley Hospital (SVH) has announced the arrival of Sina Khasani MD, at the Pittsfield hospital. Dr. Khasani is a neurologist who will be providing nerve conduction testing for the diagnosis for conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome at the SVH Specialty Services Clinic.
Dr. Khasani is in private practice at Neurology Associates of Eastern Maine. He earned his medical degree from Ruprecht-Karls Universitat in Germany and completed internships at the Heinrich-Lanz-Krankenhaus teaching hospital in Heidelberg and at Tulane University Medical Center in New Orleans. His fellowship in clinical neurophysiology was completed at New York University (NYU) in New York, New York. Dr. Khasani is board certified in neurology and internal medicine. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, the American Association of Neuromuscular and Electrodiagnostic Medicine, and Gold Humanism in Medicine Honor Society.
Dr. Khasani has received numerous awards, including the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Award for Humanism and Excellence in Teaching and the Owl Club Outstanding Resident Teaching Award for Humanism and Teaching. He is a member of the Musser Burch Society, an honorary society of physicians, for excellence in patient care.
