Need a Ride?
 

SVH Courtesy Van Service – 487-5185

 

Image of SVH VanAt Sebasticook Valley Hospital, we recognize how challenging it can be for our patients to get to appointments safely and conveniently. This is why we offer free transportation service to and from SVH, the SVH STEP Center, Eastern Maine Urology Services, or Sebasticook Surgical Associates for scheduled appointments.

 

As long as you live in the SVH service area (see map) or are traveling from a medical care provider located in our service area, SVH Transportation can bring you to SVH and give you a ride home between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

 

SVH's Courtesy Van Service is available Monday through Friday, from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. To schedule a ride, please call 487-5185 at least 24 hours prior to your visit. Remember to contact SVH Courtesy Van Service when making an appointment for a CT Scan, MRI, Ultrasound, and nuclear Medicine; laboratory services; to see a specialist in our Outpatient Center; for general or specialty surgeries; mammography, diagnostic bone density screening,  lymphedema therapy, stereotactic breast biopsy, or prosthetics at our Women's Health Center; diabetes management services and education; cardiopulmonary rehabilitation; sleep studies; or cardiac rehabilitation and rehabilitation services at the SVH STEP Center.

 

Traveling to SVH

As long as you live in the SVH service area or are traveling from a medical care provider located in our service area, SVH Transportation can bring you to SVH and give you a ride home between the hours of 7:30 am and 4:00 pm.

 

Safe, Convenient Transportation

The SVH Courtesy Van driver is trained in safe driving techniques in all kinds of Maine driving conditions and is CPR certified. He is required to call 9-1-1 if a patient is truly sick, in extreme distress or has chest pains. This service is not intended to replace Ambulance Services.

 

Guidelines for Accessing SVH Courtesy Van Services:

          Patients should call 487-5185 at
least 24 hours in advance to schedule a ride.

          Patients may bring no more than one visitor with them on the van at a time.

          Please be prompt and ready for
the Courtesy Van transport.

           Tobacco use is not allowed in SVH vehicles or on hospital property.
